New Partnership with Bannister Lake enables BroadStream’s customers to increase the number and types of onscreen data used to display ’in-the-moment’ information such as headlines, Social Media and election results.
Atlanta, GA, USA – March 24, 2016 – Leading automated playout specialist, BroadStream Solutions Inc. has partnered with Bannister Lake to integrate SuperTicker Flow real-time data elements into its flagship OASYS integrated playout platform to be demonstrated at NAB 2016 (North Hall, Booth N6315).
With SuperTicker Flow, TV networks and channels that broadcast real-time content can enhance engagement with their discerning TV audiences who demand up-to-the-second information when it comes to major events such as elections, breaking news and sports championships, as well as daily news headlines and weather information.
“The US Presidential election in November is anticipated to be more closely watched by an even larger global TV audience than that of 2009 when President Obama came into power”, said Peter Wharton, VP Technology & Business Development at BroadStream Solutions.
“Global TV coverage of the US election campaign will intensify in the run up to voting in the November election and we are very pleased to be able to offer SuperTicker Flow on our OASYS Integrated Playout platform to enhance broadcasters’ coverage of this major event. The OASYS graphics engine is one of the most powerful and affordable real-time graphics tools available for playout today,” adds Wharton. “With this partnership our customers will be able to produce and broadcast election results and news ticker updates in real-time and with greater impact using the OASYS graphics engine and the wider variety of datasets available from SuperTicker Flow.”
SuperTicker Flow will be integrated into BroadStream’s OASYS Extended Graphics Engine and Publishing software modules to deliver and display a wide range of information on-screen, including real-time news tickers, emergency alerts, breaking news, headlines, stories, events, weather updates, financial data, social media, local school closings, sports scores, traffic, ski reports, lottery results, election returns, sponsored elements, and other in-the-moment information.
“Social media moderation, sponsored activity and tailored presentations of national, regional and local information of everything from elections to school closings – all the things that engage today’s busy TV audiences – are at the heart of SuperTicker Flow’s development”, concludes Wharton.
“We are very happy to be a part of BroadStream’s continued growth and success. We believe Super Ticker Flow adds exceptional value, providing users with real time data seamlessly integrated with the OASYS Integrated Playout platform. This combination gives customers ease of operation, unique flexibility, and superior performance no matter the format”, says D’Arcy Pickering, Bannister Lake Worldwide Sales VP.
BroadStream’s OASYS software platform is designed to provide efficient, high quality, end-to-end SDI, IP or hybrid SDI/IP playout solutions that are easy-to-use, scalable, flexible and reliable. Based on a unique and innovative software architecture, the OASYS playout solution provides broadcasters with the ability to create a completely customized solution using optional software modules for single channel or multi-channel operations.
