BroadStream’s VP of Technology, Peter Wharton, will again be delivering a presentation at the PBS TechCon. His paper for the PBS TechCon17 is titled “How ATSC 3.0 and Centralization in the Cloud Will Enable the Next Generation of Playout” and will discuss the opportunities and challenges that PBS stations will have as ATSC 3.0 and cloud playout technologies mature. This presentation will discuss the benefits of cloud playout and the implementation philosophies that will define best practices. It will also look at the new opportunities that ATSC 3.0 creates for broadcasters and how these will demand a more flexible and scalable architecture than stations have previously utilized. This presentation is currently scheduled in the program for Friday, April 21st at 1:30 PM at the PBS TechCon.
