Date: May 24-25, 2017
Location: Chesapeake Beach, MD (outside Washington DC and Baltimore)
About the event: The SMPTE Bits By The Bay conference is the leading technical conference in the Mid-Atlantic for television technologists. It is a two-day conference on the Western shores of the Chesapeake Bay packed with a wide range of topics from technology fundamentals and workshops to the latest developments and trends in our industry. It is also one of the most economical conferences of its type that can be attended thanks to the breadth and generosity of its sponsors who support its educational mission. As a “must-attend” event, Bits By The Bay has sold out every year since its inception.
BroadStream is proud to be a supporter of the Bits BY The Bay conference, and will be hosting a welcoming reception for the attendees and presenters on the evening of Tuesday, May 23rd.
BroadStream’s VP of Technology, Peter Wharton, in conjunction with the managers of the SMPTE Washington DC Section and volunteers, have been producing the Bits By The Bay conference and its predecessor, the SMPTE-WEBE conference, for almost two decades. In addition to producing the conference, Peter will be chairing several conference sessions, moderating the “Panel of Experts” that closes out the conference on Thursday, as well as cooking for everyone at Tuesday’s reception.
