Standalone DataStore operation

Overview
For standalone single-user systems, Wincaps Q4 can operate without the need for a main DataStore. In this configuration, Wincaps Q4 uses the local DataStore cache on the client workstation to store all the relevant data.
The choice of standalone vs. main DataStore operation is made when Q4 is installed.
When operating in standalone mode, the DataStore behaves as follows:

The status bar icon always shows as
and the status message reports "DataStore offline only" -
The connect/disconnect and re-sync items on the DataStore menu are always disabled
In all other respects the DataStore operates in the same way as a multi-user system.
