On Sunday April 19th 2020 the world lost a lot of its color as our Chairman, founder and dear friend Herbert Brenninkmeijer finally succumbed to his fight against cancer.
Herbert will always be remembered for his positive spirit, his warmth and energy, and his care and concern for others. Everyone who ever came into contact with Herbert was left feeling better off for the experience. He encouraged, supported and befriended all within the BroadStream Group and he will be badly missed. He led with clarity and a large vision, and he always saw the big picture. He took the company from small roots within Europe to become a multi-national Group with companies across the USA, UK, Croatia and India.
Herbert loved BroadStream and all that it stands for. He loved all the people in it, and he devoted time and energy to his vision for the company over more than twenty years. We assure him that his legacy and his values will live on in our company long after he has gone, and will make sure that happens. Herbert also dearly loved his wife, Simone, and all of their family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them all as they come to terms with the loss of a son, brother, dad and husband.
We have all lost a great friend. He excelled at having fun, he loved to see other people having fun, and he was more than capable of laughing at himself. It’s good to have such happy memories to keep forever, even though we would prefer that he had remained with us longer.
