OASYS Integrated Playout is playout software that combines multiple functions and processes into one unique software playout architecture that streamlines workflows, saves time, and reduces errors.
In addition, by using commodity-based IT hardware, OASYS eliminates the need for “purpose-built” devices which further simplifies workflows and improves efficiency.
Let’s Talk About Upgrading Your Playout Software
Traditional Master Control vs. Integrated Playout Solutions
Traditional Master Control is based on multiple purpose-built devices, such as encoders, video servers, graphics boxes, storage, and master control switches, being connected and controlled by a separate piece of scheduling software. All these devices come from different manufacturers and bring different control protocols as well as support and maintenance contracts.
Integrated Playout Software, on the other hand, replaces these purpose-built devices with software modules that provide a consistent interface and full functionality, all within one system. Although it may require multiple boxes, each box is a standard IT Server and works seamlessly together. With integrated playout software, the need for extra boxes, multiple support numbers, and multiple maintenance contracts can be reduced or eliminated.
Everything is simplified into a single system with one maintenance contract and one support number.
An Integrated Playout solution for broadcasters that need more channels, greater flexibility and a solution that easily scales from just a few channels to 50 or more, but because it’s modular, you only pay for what you need and only pay for expansion when you are ready.
A Channel-in-a-Box version for small stations that need one or two channels.
The software modules provide the unique features and customizations and our Team can help you design and build the right system to meet your current needs as well as prepare you for what the broadcast industry has in store for the future.
What Our Clients Are Saying
I recognized system ROI from the very beginning as it took, literally, just a few minutes to transfer the existing automation Metadata database to the OASYS system. There would be no re-prepping of our existing files. The dual 10gig ports on the servers enabled us to transfer 17TB of files extremely fast. Once the legacy video server files were transferred they played natively without transcoding, and saved us countless hours…
This was a very smooth commissioning project. The OASYS system was able to scan our Sundance database and collect the important metadata and saved us endless hours of time in preparing content for the new system. In addition, the platform has a smaller footprint, is less costly to operate and improves our flexibility, which helps operationally as we schedule more unmanned hours in Master Control…
This was a big change for us and our BroadStream Project Engineer worked with us from beginning to end to configure the system, work out the kinks and help us get ready for the launch. The OASYS platform gives us much more capability and flexibility than our previous master control system, which helps tremendously as we move to more unmanned hours in Master Control…
The OASYS platform was just what we were looking for. Not only does it provide multi-channel playout of live and pre-recorded content with broadcast quality graphics from a single IT server; the system can also dynamically manage channel redundancy with 1:1, M:1 and/or M:N configurations with channel prioritization. For us, this reliability and resilience were absolutely imperative in our purchasing decision…
