The PLASMA Teletext Transmission System is a tried and tested production and management system for producing 24/7 teletext services. Easily create and manage compelling teletext services for multiple channels with national, regional and local services in over 30 different languages. These include all Latin based languages, Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic and many others.

The system includes a simple to use management application that provides quick visibility of the service and easy, intuitive editing of all content. All edits and updates are automatically sent to air if the page is designated for on-air use. There is a lightweight web editor for adding pages, editing pages, or moving pages within the system or into and out of transmission.

A batch system, also included, can be used to perform more complicated operations automatically as content arrives. It includes an editor to develop, debug and test scripts prior to publication.

Based on an industry standard database for content storage, the system also includes a scheduler that enables operations to run automatically at specific or repeated time periods.

An archive is maintained and enables content to be stored for as little or as long as needed.

Page updates can be generated automatically from data feeds imported via the optional Data Feed Handler/Teletext Page Formatter. (DFH/TPF) Automated service management operations can be initiated by the built-in scheduler that is capable of triggering page-processing scripts.

Using the sophisticated page components capability of the PLASMA teletext transmission system database, pages can be built from various layers: a TV station or regional branding banner, a content area, and an advertising strap. Each layer can be managed separately, enabling multichannel and multi-regional services to be operated very efficiently. Services can be managed using the intuitive Control Screen (user License) which provides drag-and-drop and mouse-based control of page location and parameters, with full multi-user locking and updating.

Real-time output is provided by Polistream system configured for VBI capability.
