Fixed issue created by Windows W11 update KB5094126 that broke the connection with Microsoft Office/365.
Support for streaming playback in the video window for Windows 11.
New link to SubCaptioner for speech to text from video audio, including translation.
Datastore dialog window now shows full path to Datastore.
New Database engine for local Datastore.
Video Overlay option has been removed and is no longer offically supported. Contact Broadstream support for more information.
New option to automatically clear live scrolling subtitles when there is a pause in output.
File level support for streaming playback in the video window for Windows 11 to supersede Story associated video media.
Fixed bug in Story Save for exported file title not matching the associated video.
Port 4000 for Stenograph input is now closed by default, see new option to switch on if using Steno input.
Fixed bug in DLP SMPTE XML export where the Font ID was not matching the LoadFont.
Fixed bug with the typing of National Option characters when the Packet 26 option to not allow packet 26 is ticked/enabled.
DLP Cinema SMPTE now supports the 2014 spec. See new export options and reference information.
Wincaps PAC export now supports centre horizontal position with left justification/alignment.
Replaced SQL Compact Edition with SQL Express 2014 LOCALDB for local Datastore. Please see Known Issues before installing 4.45.15 on Windows 11.
Main Datastore has now been tested with Windows Server 2025. New installation files for the Datastore and Datastore Admin Tool are required, pleases contact Broadstream support for more information.
Changed the behaviour of the Checked Story status - see Help for status information and the new user option.
New option to display an additional ASR input window to allow for speech input through the Q-LiveASR Speechmatics engine.
New option in the Live ASR settings to handle speaker changes from ASR input.
Fixed bug with Greek Teletext G2 (packet 26) characters not displaying on transmission correctly.
Fixed bug in 4.44.12 with merging subtitles in Timeline view causes Wincaps to crash.

Editing a Story marked as complete now changes the status to Incomplete.
New option in Block Mode; clear subtitles with the subtitle Outtime when replaying a timecoded Story.
Minimum gap is now being set for cued subtitles in Live mode.
Merging or reformatting subtitles in Timeline View no longer causes a crash in Q4.
Closed Caption (Line 21) files no longer disable Wincaps with the music symbol in Replay Mode.
Changing the video position in the timeline with the mouse is now accurate.
Inserting EBU-TT files with milliseconds no longer causes an unhandled exception.
Cueing out subtitles on the last frame of a second no longer creates invalid frame rates.
PC Clock framerates are now saved correctly.
Moving Stories in the News View no longer causes a crash of Q-Live.
Deleting single Stories no longer crashes Q-Live.
Deleting text from Stories in the News view doesn’t corrupt the view.
TCP heartbeat messages are now sent to Cavena STU during inactivity.
Improved memory management with the Clip Monitor.
New buttons to grab In and Out times as an alternative to the keystrokes.

Importing a WebVTT file that has speakers with assigned colours are now shown in the Speaker List after import.
SRT and SRT SubRip import now allows timecodes to be set as ‘Floating’.
New ASR option value to set a required confidence level for
WincapsASR produced WebVTT files.
New ASR confidence Check in the Checks area to flag any subtitles that do not meet the configured confidence value.
Protoscript (Learnscript) files now import with a default reading rate of 200 wpm from 150 wpm.
Added a new Story status option; ‘No Status’ for Stories that have not been edited.
Advanced Locking Display. New option to display user and subtitle being edited with multi-user workflow.
Story Save export trigger in Q-Live has been changed to the Story status of ‘Complete’ from
‘Checked’.
New option in Q-News to set Story status to ‘No Status’ when Rundown is first created. Default Story status is ‘Incomplete’ and the option is under File>Configure>Running Order. See also the Q-News User Guide.
Clip Monitor will not re-associate a video file if it has been manually disassociated in Q-Live.
Exported Stories that have been transmitted in Q-Live now also maintain any vertical positions
assigned during the transmission.
Fixed double cursor display in Story editing dialog.
Fixed Checks ‘Change All’ for two-part Checks. This affects the Gaps (minimum and exclusion zone)and Rows/Spaces (rows/spaces and blank subtitles) checks.
Fixed breakage of Clip Monitor specific iNEWS video management icons for Q-Live News View.
Fixed bug with the placement of WebVTT comments field.
SCC export now includes option in the export configuration settings to double up SCC global control codes.
Added support for 30 fps video media indexing and playback.
Frames to milliseconds to frames now round up for export and import.
The default reading rate in Wincaps is now 200 wpm, from 120 wpm, for new Customer Templates.
Wincaps speaker functionality now supports WebVTT speaker information for import and export. See
DLP Digital Cinema export now support Ticks and Decimal timecode formats as per the DLP specification.
Right To Left language position support for Timed Text exports now position correctly for export.
SRT and SRT SubRip exports now always match the timecode in the Wincaps file.
Wincaps has a new option in the DFXP export setting which supports the Netflix limited DFXP export format.
Optimised Q-News communication with Q-Live File Service to improve overall performance with iNEWS ftp connection.
Rundowns monitored on specific days now uses the Between Times time value for new file creation. For further information see the Q-News User Guide.
Fixed bug in Q-Live Gateway with TCP Newfor language code not being sent.
